11:00 am: Well arrived in Australia more precisely in Melbourne ! After a 25-hour flight and a stopover in Qatar, I'm finally at the other end of the world. At the exit of the airport, I took the taxi direction the hostel "united backpackers", which is located in the city center of Melbourne. It's pretty cool, there are so many young people like me there who come from all over the world.

3:00 pm: To discover the whole city to 360 °, I gained height and climbed at the top of the Eureka Tower (7, Riverside Quay): it is the tallest tower in the city with its 91 floors and 300m high! The most impressive thing is the glass floor cabin suspended above the void! It's breathtaking.

6:00 pm : Then I headed to the south bank of the Yarra River, to discover the popular and bustling district of Southbank. I walked by the water and enjoyed the beautiful panorama. I saw a huge 24-hour recreation complex on Whiteman Street (Crown Complex ) with its casino, restaurants, bars, clubs, movie theater and swimming pool.

9:00 am: To start the day well, nothing better than a brunch! So I went to the 1932 Café & restaurant. It was excellent.

1:00 pm: I took the subway to go to the National Gallery of Victoria, which is the largest and oldest museum in Australia. I could see beautiful pieces, both ancient and modern. One of the museum’s guides told me that a famous event took place in 1986: the theft of a painting by Picasso, The Crying Woman !

4:00 pm : A small restaurant attracts my attention, as I wander through the streets. The "Hash Specialty Coffee & Roaster". I settled down and ordered a very original hot chocolate.

5:00 pm: I took the tram and went to the Royal Arcade, which is the oldest shopping mall in Melbourne. I admired the beautiful shop windows and old architecture.

9:00 am: Today, I decided to go to discover the great ocean road, with a car that I rented for the occasion. I was a little apprehensive because the steering wheel is on the right and not on the left, but I quickly got used to it. It is a panoramic road of 243 km, where I enjoyed spectacular views and admired many wonderful landscapes along the coast : its tropical forests, waterfalls, deserted beaches… This coastal road is really dazzling.

2:00 pm : I stopped at a restaurant located in one of the coastal villages for lunch. I ordered some fish and a salad with champaigne, and had the chance to be seated in front of a breathtaking view.

3:00 pm: I continued this walk, with the Great Ocean Walk. I was able to enjoy the wildlife, see some really cute kangaroos but also sleeping koalas in the trees and even whales swimming along the coast.

9:00 am: I had breakfast at the hostel and I left at 1:30 from Melbourne to go to the Phillip Island!

11:00 am: I arrived at my destination and decided to settle on the Smither Beach, to enjoy the sun and swim in the crystal clear water. I even decided to take a surf lesson with a group of 4 people. After several failures, I finally managed to stand a few seconds on my board.

1:00 pm: I went to the South-West end of Phillip Island, where the Seal Rocks are. These rocks host Australia's largest fur seal colony. I was lucky to see some of them!

3:00 pm: I learned that there was a chocolate factory on this island : Pannys Chocolate Factory. So I decided to go and visit the place. The tour includes the processes of making chocolate, achievements of chocolate works, games and a cascade of 400 kg of chocolate. It's almost like Charlie and the Chocolate Factory.

6:00 pm: To finish the day on a good note, I went to the Penguin Parade Center. Every day at nightfall, hundreds of penguins leave the sea to spend the night in the land. So I attended this parade of the smallest penguins in the world!
