On June, 17 we went to Kaunas for a day trip with colleagues from University and friends. It was the occasion for us to discover or re-discover the city. Indeed, some of us were traveling to Kaunas for the first time while some others haven’t been there for 17 years. Kaunas is the second biggest city of Lithuania.
Museum selfie In the morning, we had a nice walk in the new city and enjoyed beautiful “art nouveau” architecture. Kaunas grew at the time where "art nouveau" was very popular. We also visited Kaunas Devils Museum, which is included in the list of the most unique museums in the world. It is the perfect place if you want to learn some more about Lithuanian folklore and legends. This museum is full of devil sculptures from the collection of Antanas Zmuidzinavicius, a Lithuanian artist. We also visited his apartment and workshop which were turned into a museum after his death.
