After a good fly, from Montpelier to New York via Orly, we arrived at JFk.

Of course Champagne with air France

We waited a long time for the immigration desk. We picked up a yellow taxi, and arrived at home at 8 pm.

We discovered the neighborhood by night, and bought some fruits for the breakfast.

3

We leaved home at 9.30 with a fresh weather but a very beautifull sun light. We arrived at Brooklyn Bridge after crossing a park. We ate our first hamburger with chips.

38°F

A very beautifull view of Manhattan from the bridge.

33106 steps along this day (=23 km)

A good breakfast at home to face a long day.

Canola oil blend to cook free off fat!

An amazing experience into the Moma. It's a great place, 5 floors of galleries, we were surprised to find there a lot of paintings never seen before.

For lunch we chosen a coreen restaurant "Mandoo bar"

Walking along the 5th Avenue...

We walked still and always through west Manhattan, high line, general post office and finished in Time Square. We went back in subway.

We began this day with Ellis Island and the Immigration Museum. We found the ferry at Bowling Green subway station.

After we walked to Chinatown, we found a tiny Chinese restaurant and ate a roasted duck with vegetables.

In a Chinese market we found ingredients for the dinner...

Before going back home, a good break with tea and coffee.

6

We went to Macy's for husband's trousers (Levi's 501, Dockers). We discovered the temple of fashion, biggest shop of the world.

After we went in B&H, temple of photography. We learned a lot with the specialist of Camera obscura, a French man fortunately!

We decided to find the best hamburger of NYC, it was in Corner Bistro.

In Greenwich Village

We continued shopping with Muji, not so much American! And went back with the subway, very tired after this long day.

7

On Saturday the subway is not as the others days, no express line, so we got the 2nd red one. We began with the Guggenheim museum after crossing the park.

We saw on our "cartoville New York" a recommandation for a Mexican restaurant: Maya. It was a brunch menu ad libitum, with small very tasty dishes.

During the afternoon we walked in Central Park and saw the life on Saturday.

The spring is arriving...

Back in subway

We left early in the morning to catch a ticket for Chicago show. A long waiting in front of TKTS, and fortunately a good place.

With the tickets in pocket, we went to ground zero just for a look.

A new fashion mall

We ate in a Druze restaurant before the show.

Again a good address from cartoville

The musical comedy was in an old theater

9

We left our cosy flat at about 11am. We crossed Brooklyn Park to go to the museum.

We arrived in front of the library and turned to find the Brooklyn museum and had tickets for Frida Kahlo exhibition.

A beautiful exhibition with a lot of pictures and clothes from Frida

We ate a Mexican meal in the museum

The end at JFK Airport, our fly at 7.35 pm
